The Network of Women in Broadcasting (NOWIB) has announced its inaugural Executive Council, which was elected recently to serve a three-year term from 2025 to 2028.
The Council which Comprises approximately 80 members from diverse media platforms across Ghana, represents a collective of professionals united by a shared vision of advancing women’s roles in broadcasting.
Under the patronage of veteran broadcasters Nana Yaa Konadu and Nana Yaa Brefo, NOWIB brings together experienced media professionals committed to supporting and empowering women in the industry.
“We are excited to establish our Executive Council, which will help us achieve our goal of creating a supportive ecosystem for women in broadcasting,” Maame Biamah Akwafo, the President of NOWIB stated.
“We aim to foster a culture of collaboration, mentorship, and growth, ultimately paving the way for future generations of women in media,” she added.
Again, she noted that NOWIB is committed to providing professional development opportunities, creating mentorship programmes, fostering networking, and supporting young women entering the media industry.
Meanwhile, the organization will officially inaugurate in March 2025.
