The Managing Director, Marketing at the Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited (TPL), a subsidiary of the Tobinco Group of Companies, Dr. Nana Yaw Ampiah-Amoah (Pharm D), says the Companies, especially the TPL and the Entrance Pharmaceuticals and Research Centre has achieved its feats in the pharmaceutical Industry because they only produce and market quality medicines.
This follows the numerous awards picked by Tobinco Group of Companies and the Executive Chairman of the Group, Elder Nana Amo Tobbin I at the recently held 2023 Pharma Awards.
Elder Nana Amo Tobbin I, was named Entrepreneur of the Year at the 5th edition of the Ghana Pharma and Healthcare Awards, held over the weekend at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra.
The Ghana Pharma Awards provides a platform to recognize individuals and companies that play a significant role in the growth and development of the pharmaceutical industry.
A subsidiary of the Tobinco Group of Companies, Entrance Pharmaceuticals and Research Centre, producer of Ghana’s number one Malaria drug, Lufart, won the Excellence in Health, Safety Environment, and Quality and Excellence in Contract Services and Outsourcing Awards.
The TPL, won the Excellence in Business Awards, Exporter of the Year Awards, and the Indigenous Company’s the Year Awards.

Speaking on Atinka TV’s morning show, Ghana Nie with Ama Gyenfa Ofosu Darkwa, Dr. Nana Yaw Ampiah-Amoah said TPL and Entrance Pharmaceuticals and Research Centre produces and market only quality medicines including Lufart amongst others .
Aside from that, he also noted that before they produce any medicine, they ask what is needed, what the people want before going to produce it.
The Deputy Managing Director, Marketing at Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited, Dr. Christopher Mensah also explained that when it comes to producing medicine, the above companies have been in the business for long and so they have the experience to produce only quality products.
“When we mention Lufart and the rest, because we have sold a lot of medicines for a long time, we know what Ghanaians want, including the side effects they do not want. So, when we are making the drugs, we look all that and we take those away so that the people get exactly what they deserve,” he said.
Also, he said there were few companies that produce medicines and at the same time market it aggressively like TPL and the Entrance Pharmaceuticals and Research Centre does, making them unique from the others.
Dr Christopher Mensah also said Entrance Pharmaceuticals and Research Centre produces more than enough drugs and export them to other African Countries, adding that most African countries have accepted medicines from Ghana, especially from Entrance .
He also said the company employs people who are experts in ensuring quality and 100 percent quantity and not even 99.9 milligram or percent of the amount of drugs packed.
He said after producing the medicines, they do not sit at one place to sell, explaining that the company has opened a lot of branches across the country making it more visible and accessible.
