Protect Yourself Digitally — Charles Fiifi Hagan Advises Ghanaians

Charles Fiifi Hagan Advises Ghanaians

Cybersecurity and IT-Audit Consultant, Charles Fiifi Hagan, has urged Ghanaians to take personal cybersecurity seriously amid the growing cases of mobile money fraud and cybercrime in the country.

Speaking on Ghana Nie on Atinka TV, hosted by Ama Gyenfa and Ekow Budu Sam, Mr. Hagan advised the public to protect themselves spiritually, physically, and digitally.

According to him, many traders and market women are becoming reluctant to accept mobile money payments because of increasing cases of payment reversals by fraudsters.

He encouraged businesses and individuals to use vendor SIM registration systems that cannot easily be reversed, adding that stronger security measures are necessary to protect transactions.

Mr. Hagan also cautioned people against sharing passwords and sensitive information with others, including close relatives and spouses.

“Never share your password with anyone, not even your wife,” he stressed.

He further advised the public to use strong passwords, make them longer, and change them regularly, preferably every three months.

“Your personal security is your responsibility,” he said, urging Ghanaians to remain vigilant both online and offline.
