The Presidency has directed that all those holding diplomatic and service passports issued by the previous administration return it to the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
This forms part of the Government’s effort to enhance the integrity of Ghana’s official travel documents and diplomatic engagements.
This was communicated in a letter signed by the Secretary to the President, Callistus Mahama and directed to the Chief Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He noted that the recall aligns with the government’s commitment to ensuring the proper use and administration of official travel documents in compliance with national and international standards.

Meanwhile, the Presidency directed that all holders of the diplomatic and service passports return them by January 24, 2025.
Again, the Presidency tasked the Chief Director at the Foreign Affairs Ministry to review all returned passports thoroughly to ensure they align with the current eligibility criteria for issuance.
