You will recall that Tobinco Boss, Elder Nana Amo Tobbin I recently brought 40 persons who were mostly engaged in illegal mining at Awudua to Accra to give them employment at the various subsidiaries of the Tobinco Group of Companies.

Preaching at the event, the International Missions Director (IMD) for the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang-Bekoe underscored the importance of Thanksgiving encouraging all to thank God for what he has done for all.

He also noted how people will be able to break through barriers of life, citing the ‘Beautiful Gate’ through prayers.

“We can enter his gates and courts through thanksgiving and praises,” he said.

In a speech read on his behalf by his daughter, Jedidiah Tobbin, the Tobinco Boss, Elder Nana Amo Tobbin I, mentioned the importance of celebrating the goodness of the Lord throughout the Year.

He mentioned how God has been good to the Group throughout the year, counting the number of awards taken by the Group.

He also made it known that despite going throughout the country and even beyond the borders with medical supplies, the team never encountered any accident or death, noting that all operations went successfully.

The Tobinco Boss also recalled how he became a victim of circumstance exactly 10 years ago where the Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited was nearly shut down because numerous allegations including importing fake drugs, unlicensed or substandard drugs and others were levelled against him and he was everywhere in the media for bad publicity.

He said he nearly ran out of the country because he was chased around, his warehouse was closed, many contracts were lost, while the Food and Drugs Authority(FDA), BNI and EOCO conducted several investigations on his company.

He said he was held by EOCO and was sent to the Nima Police Station with his partner.

However, he also recounted how things turned around with the intervention of the Leaders of the Church of Pentecost and some persons who gathered at the Nima Police Station to demand his release over the love they had for him.

The Tobinco Boss testified that within 10 years, 13 subsidiary companies have sprang out after that painful experience, therefore giving thanks to the Almighty God.

He also recounted when his major partner and creditor broke away from the Tobinco Group a few years ago with no explanation.

Although it was a challenging time, he said he sailed through and has now extended his business frontiers, wider than before.

He also made it known how the Sat Foundation has helped a lot of needy and vulnerable persons in the society in the year.

The Tobinco Boss therefore encouraged all to be thankful to God for growth.

He also thanked his staff, management and all workers of the Group as well as his partners for doing business with him.

Meanwhile, the thanksgiving was crowned with a dinner at the Dor Events Annex where all present were treated with enough and a variety of food, assorted drinks and live band music.
