A first year student of the University of Ghana has reportedly drowned in the University’s pool.
The incident happened after all attempts by the student to swim failed.
A campus based radio station reported that the incident occurred on Saturday, January 29, 2022.
The name of the student is yet to be established.
In a video, which has gone viral on social media, some students of the university, were seen trying to retrieve the body of the drowned student from the pool.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that the student went to the 21ft of the pool and was asked to go back the first time.
He reportedly went there again and the next thing the students heard was that he had drowned.
Authorities of the University are yet to comment on the tragic incident.
