The 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) commenced today Monday, July 8 2024.
The Management of Ghana Education Service (GES) July 7 2024 released a statement congratulating the candidates on their perseverance and hard work. It also expressed gratitude to all stakeholders, including teachers, basic school heads, directors of education, parents/guardians, and others, for their vital roles in helping the candidates get ready for the test.
“Candidates, Invigilators, Supervisors, Schools Authorities, Teachers and Parents are advised to desist from any form of examination malpractice. GES, WAEC and the Security Services are working jointly to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations at all the centres across the country.”
“Parents, candidates and the general public are informed that the school selection process will commence after the BECE. Details of the selection process will be communicated in due course,” the statement added.
The BECE will end on Monday 15th July 2024.
