27th GJA Awards: Atinka’s Vivian Adu grabs award

Atinka Media Village’s online Journalist, Vivian Adu, has won an award at the 27th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards ceremony held at the Accra International Conference Center on Sunday.

Vivian’s interest in reporting on Gender and social issues has earned her the Best Gender Reporter award.

Her documentary ‘Shattered Vows’ , which earned her the nomination, sought reasons why marriages in Ghana keep breaking as well as the psychological, social, and economic impact of divorce on the individual.

The documentary laid bare the facts leading to the increasing number of divorces in Ghana and what could be done about it.

“Shattered Vows” featured divorcees, experts as well as key people involved directly or indirectly in marriage and Divorce processes in Ghana.

The GJA Awards is an annual event meant to celebrate professional excellence in journalism and the 27th edition of awards is scheduled for Sunday, 29th October, 2023 at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC).

The 27th edition of the awards is themed, ‘Leveraging media freedom to sustain the democratic and security architecture: The litmus test of Election 2024’.
