65th Independence Day Parade: Accra Academy wins best school

Accra Academy has been adjudged the overall best school at this year’s Independence Day Celebration Parade organized by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA).

Out of 22 schools that took part in the celebration, the “Blue and Yellow boys” scored 49 points out of 50 points.

This is the first time the AMA is celebrating an Independence Day anniversary on its own since its creation in 1898.

The celebration, according to the Mayor of Accra, Hon. Elizabeth Naa Kwatsoe Tawiah Sackey was worth it.

Speaking on the theme for 65th Celebration: “Working together, bouncing back better”, the Mayor of Accra said, the Nation had gone through many regimes of changes with different political atmospheres and coloration and has advanced in age and needs the dedication, commitment, sacrifice and contribution of all.
