6th Ghana Builds International Trade Exhibition  launched 

 

A Freight Forwarding company, Esty Shipping Company Limited in collaboration with the Ghana Embassy in Turkey today launched the Ghana Build International Trade exhibition Fair that will take place from 15 to 17 November.

 The exhibition is aimed at bringing closer collaboration between business partners and boost infrastructural development in Ghana.

The Ghana Build International Trade Exhibition Fair is the 6th edition that draws over hundred manufacturing companies and exhibitors from across Africa and Europe, notably Turkey, United Kingdom, South Africa, Nigeria and Asia amongst others.

It is expected that about 5,000 visitors comprising of contractors, investors and Diplomats. Participants will be exposed to modern construction methods, innovations and technologies for adaptations

Speaking at the launch, Chartered Construction Manager, Peter David Quartey, explained that the expo is mainly to collaborate and integrate with foreign expertise while applying the local wisdom so that our local professionals function well.

“I made mention of collaboration and that is what we looking forward to in this expo….also we are going to use foreign expertise but local wisdom will be applied”.

The event is also to champion the development needs of the country particularly the infrastructural needs in what they described as “Building the Environment in Ghana”.

According to him, it has been observed that infrastructure is critical to sustainable community development and day-to-day activities of every individual. Therefore, today’s infrastructure shapes tomorrow’s communities. 

That notwithstanding, the Head of Marketing and Public Relations at the Ghana International Trade Fair, Baffour Oscar Asamoah, called on the Small Scale and Medium Enterprises to join hands with the big companies since there will be display of technologies.

This will go a long way to increase productivity in the country and also create a platform for local investors to travel overseas for further knowledge sharing.

The exhibition is under the auspices of the Trade Ministry, Ministry of Work and Housing as well as Ghana Chamber of Commerce. Dignitaries to grace the occasion are Works and Housing Minister, Atta Akyea, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Carlos Ahenkorah.

Chairman for the event is President of the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nana Dr. Appeagyei Dankawoso I, ably supported by Chairman of Ghana Chamber of Construction Industry.
