700 SAT Foundation beneficiaries give thanks to God, bless Tobinco

The 5th edition of the SAT Foundation Aseda Kese has been held, with beneficiaries thanking God for His love and mercy.

The beneficiaries also thanked the Executive Chairman of the Tobinco Group, Elder Nana Amo Tobbin I, for supporting them in diverse ways.

The Samuel Amo Tobbin Foundation is an NGO and also operates as the Corporate Social Responsibility wing of the Tobinco Group of Companies. It  supports the vulnerable and needy in society.

Aseda Kese is an annual event by the Samuel Amo Tobbin Foundation, that brings together beneficiaries supported within the year to thank God for the life of the Group Executive Chairman, family, and the Tobinco Group of Companies at large.

In 2022, the Foundation through its Widows and Aged monthly support featured 700 persons including the Church of Pentecost Retired officers.

Also, over 46 brilliant but needy students were supported with scholarship schemes.  95% at the Tertiary level and 5 % prospectus support for SHS and fees for JHS and primary school.

The Foundation provided healthcare support to the needy and gave livelihood support, adult literacy scheme support, and other services.

According to the Executive Director of SAT, Harriet Asante, the Foundation spent a total of GHC1,625,153.34, £1000, and  $36,999 on activities within the year,

The beneficiaries, who appeared in their “all white” dresses mounted the podium to sing praise to God and Bless the Executive Chairman of the Tobinco Group, Elder  Nana Amo Tobbin I, for his support.

 “I don’t know what I would have done without the monthly stipend from Elder Tobbin and his Foundation. I am a diabetic patient and rely on this money anytime I have to go the hospital for check-up “ – says Madam Regina Akua Sey, a beneficiary.

 “My children don’t seem to care about me. They don’t send me money for my upkeep. The monthly grant support is my main source of income for me. If it had not been for this money, I would have been dead by now,’’ Mr. Kofi Ametor said.

Prosper Ntoso, a representative from the Beautiful Life Foundation, also praised the SAT Foundation for its numerous contributions, particularly the purchase of musical instruments for one of their disabled but talented girls.

The Financial and Administrative Director of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Lawrence Otu Nyarko, commended the SAT Foundation for supporting the vulnerable and urged the beneficiaries to always remain thankful to God.

The event was graced by religious leaders and the various heads of subsidiaries of the Tobinco Group.
