Afrofusion singer, Elizha hopes for ‘ a Sarkodie collaboration’

US based Ghanaian singer and performer, Elizha has implored for a collaboration from Africa’s most successful rap artiste, Micheal Owusu Addo known in Showbiz as Sarkodie.

Elizha has released a new song — ‘Bad Love’ and believes that, a collaboration from the multiple award winning artistes and brands ambassador can help cement her brand in Africa and other parts of the world. Sarkodie has that record, he has done for lots of artistes.

In a latest interview, Ghanaian singer Elizha whose career had enjoyed massive upliftment in the USA and translated into reception in the ghanaian music market has revealed that she would want an immediate feature from Sarkodie who has almost one and half industry experience.

Born Michelle Okyere, the US-based Ghanaian afro-fusion and afrobeats singer Elizha, recounted the difficulty for Ghanaian musicians based outside to reconnect with their home market. She says this becomes even worse for ladies as sometimes different culture seeks to whip them to act to a conventional norm they are not privy to.

Elizha arrived in Gha and has since received a great reception from both old and new media. She however believes although she feels great about her achievements, it would take a feature from decorated Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie to get her to appreciate her journey thus far.

“I reconnected to the Ghanaian music market in 2009 when musicians Sarkodie, Bisa Kdei, Efya, etc were gaining ground. It was my time of redefining the music I listen to and I feel if I get a feature with Sarkodie, I would gave attained self-actualization”.
