John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) presidential candidate, has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to protecting votes in Saturday’s election.
Mahama urged the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), the security forces, and electoral authorities to uphold democratic values and guarantee a fair election during the NDC’s final electioneering rally on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Zurak Park in Madina, Accra.
He asserts that the NDC will not permit the subversion of the Ghanaian people’s will.
“I want to caution the NPP government, the security services, and all those responsible for overseeing the election. I urge you to reject any malicious schemes that may be in the works,” Mr Mahama said.
He further assured the people of Ghana that the NDC would be actively monitoring the elections.
“Together, we will protect our votes with courage and vigilance, and we will not allow anyone to tamper with the results,” he pledged.
