The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reportedly withdrawn its candidate, Kwasi Delali Brempong, from the ongoing Ayawaso West Wuogon by elections which is currently ongoing.
The National Chairman for the NDC, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, who broke the news to the media mentioned that following the instances of insecurity at the constituency, their candidate does not feel safe hence the boycott.
The by- elections at the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency currently is underway.
This exercise is to elect a new Member of Parliament to replace the late NPP’s Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko who passed on in November.
88,000 voters are expected to cast their ballots in the by-election.
