Deputy Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Godwin Ako Gunn, has called on Ghanaians to ensure a peaceful and orderly election process as the nation heads to the polls.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with our Journalist, Melody Amoako (Miss Melody) ahead of the elections, Ako Gunn expressed the party’s confidence in securing victory while emphasizing the importance of unity and respect for democratic principles.
“We are confident that the NDC will win this election. However, the process of choosing our leaders for the next four years must be peaceful and free from violence,” he stated.
He appealed to all Ghanaians, including NDC supporters and peace-loving citizens, to prioritize harmony during the polls. “We urge everyone to go to the polling stations, vote for the leader you believe in—who we know will be His Excellency John Dramani Mahama—and do so peacefully. Let’s ensure that, at the end of the day, we can shake hands and congratulate one another for a job well done.”
Ako Gunn reiterated that the elections are a collective effort to strengthen democracy and urged voters to approach the exercise with responsibility and respect.
