Akufo-Addo wins 2020 Presidential elections

The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has declared the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, winner of the 2020 Presidential elections.

Akufo-Addo obtained a total of  6,730,413 votes of representing 51.59 % of the total vote cast.

The NDC’s candidate John Dramani Mahama obtained 6, 214, 889  representing 43.6 percent of the total vote cast.

Ghana Union Movement’s (GUM) candidate Christian Kwabena Andrews obtained 105,565 representing 0.805% of the total vote cast.

The Convention Peoples Party (CPP) candidate Ivor Kobina Greenstreet obtained 12,215 votes representing 0.093%  of the total vote cast.

The Ghana Freedom Party’s (GFP) Akua Donkor and the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP) candidate 5,575 representing 0.042% and 3,574 representing 0.027% of the total vote cast respectively.

The other political parties obtained the following results: All People’s Congress (APC) 7,140 votes representing (0.54%), Liberal Peoples Party (LPG) 7,690 votes representing (0.059%), People’s National Congress (PNC) 10,887 votes representing (0.835%), Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) 6,848 votes representing (0.052%), National Democratic Party (NDP)  6,612 votes representing (0.050%) and the independent candidate Alfred Kwame Aseidu Walker 9,703 votes representing (0.074%)
