Ambulance trial: AG using the courts for political witch-hunt-Martin Kpebu

Legal practitioner, Martin Kpebu has asserted that Attorney General, Godfred Yeboah Dame and President Akufo-Addo were only using the justice system to persecute the Minority Leader,Hon Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.

Speaking to Nana Yaw Fianko on Atinka FM’s AM Drive, Mr. Kpebu argued that the prosecution had no basis since it was only born out of a personal vendetta against the Minority Leader. He believes that the Attorney General’s conduct has been very disgraceful and unappealing, given the leaked audio regarding the call he placed to third accused Richard Jakpa purportedly to convince him to commit perjury against Ato Forson.

Mr. Kpebu insists that the AG should be made to walk the plank for surreptitiously engaging a witness to lie to the law court. He described conduct as wanton desecration of state office which should not under any circumstance be tolerated.

“He has dragged the reputation of the justice system in the mud. He should honorably resign for doing the country such a great disservice. He is a disgrace to the law profession”, he said.

Mr.Kpebu made these comments after the Court of Appeal pronounced Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson and Richard Jakpa acquitted and discharged.
