Atinka TV’s  Regina Asamoah, COP Maame Tiwaa Addo-Danquah honoured

The Accra East Grand Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of St. John International (KSJI) have awarded two members whose professional work have brought honour to the Country, the Catholic Church and their Noble Order.

The two prestigious awardees were Regina Asamoah and C.O.P Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah.

Regina Asamoah is the First Vice President of the St. Augustine Ladies Auxiliary No. 555, Ashaiman and the Recording Corresponding Secretary of the Accra East District 2 Ladies Auxiliary within the Accra East Grand Ladies Auxiliary of KSJI.

She is a multiple award-winning journalist currently working at Atinka Media Village as a News Editor and host of the ‘Missing Children’. The Documentary Film Maker has several impactful documentaries to her credit.

Her latest documentary “Missing Children” has since May 2021, reunited over a hundred missing children with their families and still counting.

Her Gender Activism has helped several abused children to get justice with others receiving sponsorship to go back to school. Regina Asamoah was recently among 15 personalities named by the United States Embassy Ghana as “Champions of Change” for their Social Media Campaign to mark the global “16 days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence”.

C.O.P Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah is a Noble Sister with the St. Petrina Ladies Auxiliary No. 348, Osu within the Accra East District 1 of the Accra East Grand Ladies Auxiliary.  COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah is the Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO). She most recently served as the Director-General of the Police Professional and Standards Bureau. She is notable for being the first woman to serve as a  Director-General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the first woman Commandant of the Ghana Police Command and Staff College (GPCSC) located in Winneba.

In an opening remark at a ceremony held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Sakumono to honour these two Lady knights, the Accra East Grand Ladies Auxiliary President, Noble Sister Belinda Dogbatse commended the two for actively balancing their professional and religious life for the good of the Country, the Church and the Noble Order.

She thanked them for their dedicated service to the Noble Order and called on all members and by extension Christian professionals to be very impactful in their works. 

The Supreme Subordinate Ladies Auxiliary President, Noble Sister Eugenia Enyimayew charged the awardees to let this recognition spur them on to achieve greater heights.

The awardees, Regina Asamoah and C.O.P Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo- Danquah were full of appreciation to the leadership of the Noble Order for the recognition. They used the opportunity to encourage women especially girls to aim high and believe in their capabilities to be change makers.
