Actor, entrepreneur and farmer, John Setor Dumelo, have officially written to the Ayawaso West Wuogon District Electoral Commission officer requesting a ballot recount.
John Setor Dumelo failed to secure the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency seat, according to certified results from the constituency.
The New Patriotic Party candidate, Lydia Alhassan won the parliamentary seat with 39,851 votes.
John Setor Dumelo polled 37,778 votes out of the total votes count.
PNC’s candidate Gifty Botchway secured 160 votes, whereas the independent candidate Richard Mawuli had 108 votes.
However, John Setor Dumelo, has filed a request to demand a recount of the ballot.
In the letter sighted by Atinkaonline.com, John Setor Dumelo cited irregularities, including an alleged swapping of polling station figures with that of the NPP’s candidate.
