Campaign Manager for former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Hon. Frederick Opare‑Ansah, has disclosed that his candidate is deeply unhappy about what he describes as persistent verbal attacks from fellow NPP presidential aspirant Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.
Speaking on Atinka Tv’s Morning Agenda, Hon. Opare‑Ansah said the continuous public criticism undermines party unity and called on the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to intervene and caution Kennedy Agyapong.
According to him, while internal contestation is expected, it must be conducted with respect and discipline to safeguard the party’s cohesion ahead of the January 31 presidential primaries and the 2028 general elections.
Meanwhile, Presidential candidate of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Bernard Monah, has taken a swipe at the ruling party, expressing confidence in his chances should the NPP present a weak flagbearer.
“I wish the NPP chooses a bad candidate so I can defeat them in the 2028 general elections,” Bernard Monah stated.
His remarks come amid heightened political activity as parties position themselves ahead of the 2028 polls, with internal dynamics within the NPP increasingly drawing public attention.
