Coronavirus: Ghana holds National Fasting and prayers

Ghana is observing a national fasting and prayer day as directed by the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

President Akufo-Addo last Saturday appealed to Ghanaians to observe a national day of fasting and Prayers on Wednesday, 25th March, 2020.

The national fasting and Prayers form part of Ghana’s effort to seek the face of God in fighting the coronavirus pandemic.

This comes after Ghana’s Coronavirus cases shot up to 53 with 2 deaths.

Addressing Ghanaians in a live video Saturday night, President Akufo Addo called on all Ghanaians to practice safe hygiene to stop the spread of the virus.

The Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs has released prayer points to aid Muslims and Christians while they fast and pray.
