COVID-19: New cases rise after election

Right after the 2020 presidential and parliamentary election, Ghana is recording new cases of covid-19 on daily basis.

As at December 14, 2020, the new infections according to the Ghana Health Service was 81, making the total number of cases 53,014.

But as at December 15th, the number of new cases had increased to 110, putting the total number of confirmed cases to 53,270.

Out of the total number of recorded cases, 51,965 have recovered and discharged.

Although Ghana has recorded new cases, the number of deaths still at 327.

Meanwhile, the active cases is now at 978.
