Credit facility to buy phones and pay in installment feasible-Miracles Aboagye

Director of Communications for Dr. Bawumia’s campaign,Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has clarified the promise made by the Veep and flag-bearer of the New Patriotic Party to establish a credit facility for citizens to buy smartphones and pay in monthly installments of 1 cedi and 2 cedis.

The promise by Dr. Bawumia seems to have ruffled feathers and ignited intense debates especially among the youth population.

Dennis Aboagye in his clarification on Atinka FM indicated that the credit facility for smartphone purchase is seemingly a traditional practice in advanced countries. He stated that some of the telecommunication companies in Ghana are already using the policy to encourage their customers to use smartphones since it enures to the benefit of the Telcos.

Additionally, he implored Ghanaians to ignore the NDC’s tantrums about the idea. According to him, the NDC shouldn’t be taken seriously because they always undermine every policy the NPP proposes until it’s implemented.

“It’s a way the smartphone companies encourage their customers to patronize their products. It’s nothing new, and it’s highly possible. Don’t be deceived by the NDC’s propaganda. Dr. Bawumia is determined to implement this policy”, he opined.
