The Electoral Commission (EC) has begun the nationwide distribution of ballot papers.
The distribution started yesterday.
The Greater Accra Region commenced the initial phase yesterday, with the Central, Western, Savannah, and Upper West Regions following today.
Ballot papers will be distributed to the Ashanti, Ahafo, and Western North Regions on Tomorrow November 16.
In a press statement signed and issued by the Deputy Chairman of Operations, Samuel Tettey, it said the ballot papers are being dispatched to all 16 regions under stringent security measures.
“I bring you warm greetings from the Electoral Commission and trust that this message finds you well. This is to inform you that the transportation of ballot papers to the various regions will start tomorrow, Thursday, November 14, 2024,” the statement read.
According to the EC, The ballot papers will be stored in secure police facilities in each region until election day. On the day of the election, they will be handed over to officials in the presence of party representatives to ensure transparency.
The EC has reassured the public that strict security measures are in place to protect the integrity of the electoral process and prevent tampering or unauthorized access.
