The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has officially gazetted 274 parliamentary election results out of 276, with the Dome-Kwabenya and Ablekuma North constituencies remaining unresolved due to security and administrative challenges.
The EC assured the public that these outstanding results would be finalized before the swearing-in of the new Parliament.
The EC admitted that some district officers initially refused to declare results after the relocation of collation centers due to security threats in their constituencies.
This resistance temporarily delayed the process. However, the Deputy Commissioner in charge of Services, Dr. Bossman Asare, emphasized that the Commission is well-prepared to address such challenges.
“Every problem we face is solvable,” Dr. Bossman stated, reaffirming the EC’s capacity to uphold the integrity of the election process.
