EC is allowing itself to be used by NPP and NDC- PPP Youth Organizer opines

The Youth Organizer for the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Divine Nkrumah, has opined that the Electoral Commission of Ghana is just allowing itself to be used by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) but not working in the interest of the public.
“The Electoral Commission are just allowing themselves to be used by the NDC and NPP parties. They are playing politics with the Electoral Commission,” he said.
According to him, both the governing NPP and NDC tries to manipulate the Commission into their favour which needs not to be entertained.
“We were here when the vice President Bawumia in opposition announced a lot of foreigners in the voters register but today after elections what has he done? Both the parties bringing their own EC boss for their own interest and now changing of the voters register why? He quizzed.
“If not for the fact that we don’t have any proper form of identification card to transact our daily business with, nobody would have mined them if the date for the new voters register is opened,” he said.
Mr. Nkrumah made these assertions in an interview with Atinka news on Thursday 9^th, 2020.
“The reasons Electoral Commission gave out on their decision to create a new voters register is nothing to go by,” he expressed.
Mr. Nkrumah observed that, all forms of identification cards which includes, driver’s license, National Insurance scheme card, voters card among others could have been synchronized into one database where the Electoral Commission could fall on for a new voters register instead of worrying citizens to queue up for a new voter’s compilation.
“What Information is electoral commission coming to take from us that they don’t already have?”He quizzed
“Because of procurement issue, people want to change certain things so they can inflate the prices to benefit themselves, hence calling for a new voter’s register” Mr. Nkrumah said.
He continued, “it’s only in Ghana that you have citizen’s queuing for voter’s Identification card only”.
“The Electoral Commission has stayed there, just some months to elections they want to prepare a new voters register. It is a blackmail by the Commission to Ghanaian” Mr. Nkrumah Stated.
