Mother of Musician Fantana has won the Jomoro constituency seat in the Western Region on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Dorcas Affo-Teye, who is a first time contestant in the constituency, obtained majority of the total vote count in the Jomoro constituency.
According to certified Results From Jomoro Constituency Dorcas Affo Toffey obtained 24,356 which represents 43.5% of the total vote cast.
The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Paul Kabla Essien obtained 19,889 representing 35.5% of the total vote cast.
The Convention People’s (CPP) candidate Patrick Kwesie and Samia Yaba Nkrumah, who contested as an independent candidate, obtained 235 and 10539 votes respectively.
