The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has issued a caution to the general public advising against the usage of expired Charmé sparkling non-alcoholic wine.
The FDA in a statement said it cannot guarantee the quality and safety of the products.
The statement added that the expired product has been on the market and is being sold to the unsuspecting public.
The distributor of the product has , however, been picked up by the police to assist with investigations.
“About 170 cartons of expired Charmé non-alcoholic sparkling white grape juice with Best Before Date August 6, 2021, and Charmé non-alcoholic sparkling red grape juice with Best Before Date October 25, 2021, have so far been retrieved from the market”, the FDA added.

The FDA has vowed to retrieve any of these products found during its market surveillance activities.
The Authority have also urged persons in possession of these products to “return them immediately to any FDA office across the country.”
The products are Charmé sparkling non-alcoholic red and white grape juice.
