In less than a year, the Ga North Municipal Assembly (GNMA) has executed developmental projects that have given the municipality a facelift since the establishment of the assembly.
Although the Assembly was inaugurated in the middle of 2018, it has been able to embark on 13 physical and 65 non-physical projects respectively out of the 25 physical and 80 Non-physical projects envisioned.
Speaking at a town hall meeting at Pokuase, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of GNMA, Ms Gertrude Ankrah pointed the rehabilitated of roads, Construction of Drainages, culverts and footbridges as major projects the assembly had embarked on.
According to her, “The Assembly made it clear that even though it was inaugurated in the middle of 2018 yet it had a vision of constructing 25 physical projects and 80 Non-physical projects.
Out of these projects, the Assembly was able to complete 13 and 65 respectively.”
Ms Ankrah encouraged the residents to support the assembly, have patience and trust that the assembly will surely bring massive development in the municipality.
Moving forward, the MCE pointed out some developmental projects, including further reconstruction of roads, proving more street lights, constructing gutters amongst others, saying that it had already been captured in the assembly’s 2019 budget.
Meeting
At the meeting, the amount spent for each of the projects and source of funding was duly communicated to the residents, in order to enable them have knowledge on how and what their taxes were being used for.
Meanwhile, the residents confirmed and applauded the MCE and the assembly on a whole, for the good works done despite the numerous challenges that confronted the assembly.
They asked that the assembly expedite its preparations towards the other projects, especially the roads that have not been constructed so that they can have easy access into their various residence.
