A Gas filling station has reportedly exploded at Krofrom, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
The cause of the explosion, which is yet to be discovered, has reportedly claimed three lives while scores of have been people.
Workers from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) have since besieged the area to control the situation.
Properties including shops and vehicles have been destroyed as a result of the fire.
According to reports, the attendants at the gas station were trying to repair a fault at the station which resulted in the fire.
