Ghana’s High Commissioner to SA promises to ensure growth of creative personalities

Ghana’s High Commissioner to the republic of South Africa, His Excellency Charles Wiredu has revealed his plans to ensure the growth of Ghana creative personalities and the industry at large through the 2021 edition of the Intra-Africa Trade Fair in Durban.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with with one of Ghana’s most outstanding online personalities, Kobby Kyei, His Excellency Charles Wiredu who was appointed about three months ago to replace George Ayisi-Boateng, said he has been following conversations in the creative space and knows how beneficial it will be to the country if enough attention and support are given.

In the conversation, he disclosed his attempt to bring some Ghanaian creative personalities together to tap in the the South African creative market. He spoke intensively about the Commission’s preparations towards the upcoming Intra-African Trade Fair in November – an event organized by the African- Import Bank and the African Union.

The extremely impactful event scheduled to take place in the last but one month of the year brings professionals from different fields under one roof. It is a single market for products or services across 55 countries with the ultimate goal of ensuring the rapid growth of trade and investment within the African continent.

This event is an indispensable market access and information sharing avenue which will be very beneficial to entrepreneurs in the entertainment space by reaching a greater number of buyers and consumers.

“I have asked Trigmatic to get in touch with the creative industry and meet some of his peers and see if we can put something together,” he said.

According to him, the creative industry can boost the socioeconomic development of the country if supported.
