Court places 10-day injunction on GFA activities

The High Court has placed a 10-day ban on all activities of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Per the ruling, the GFA nor its officials can engage in official duties at the GFA.

The GFA within the 10-day ban can neither organize football matches nor appointment and election of officials and other official duties.

In her argument during proceedings in the court,  Attorney General, Gloria Akuffo, mentioned that the GFA was being used for unlawful purposes and that the ban is in the public interest.

This action comes after an exposé by ace investigative Journalist, Ana Aremeyaw Anas on Ghana Football.

GFA President Kwasi Nyantakyi, some GFA officials and about 100 referees have been implicated in the video in different acts of corruption including match-fixing deals.
