IEA Schedules first Presidential debate for October 22

The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) has announced the dates for its 2024 presidential and vice-presidential debates.

The first presidential debate is set for October 22, followed by the second on November 19, while the vice-presidential debate will take place on November 5.

In addition, the IEA has scheduled five Evening Encounters with presidential candidates, beginning on Wednesday, September 18, and concluding on Tuesday, October 15, ahead of the December 7 elections.

However, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that its flagbearer will not participate in the debates, citing concerns over the credibility of the organisers.
