Presidential Candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has reaffirmed his commitment to Railways Development to ensure the full benefits of the country’s mineral resources.
According to him, the Railways Development is one of his policies to help reap the benefits of our mineral resources, adding that Ghana could boast of minerals like Cocoa, Gold, bauxite and Lithium, and believes that when the railways system functions, trains could be used where trucks cannot be used.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, made this assertion during a youth connect at Nyinahin in the Atwima Mponua Constituency in the Ashanti Region as part of his campaign tour.
Touching on some major railroads, Dr. Bawumia explained that he will ensure the construction of railways from Tema- Kumasi-Tamale among others.
He added that, the Nana Akufo-Addo-led NPP government has done a lot, but Ghanaians would have to vote for him to continue from where the current NPP government would leave off
