I’ll retain Essikado-Ketan seat for NPP -Charles Bissue

Ahead of the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary primaries scheduled for February 2024, Parliamentary Candidate hopeful for the Essikado-Ketan constituency in the Western Region, Charles Bissue has urged delegates to elect him.

According to him, he will retain the seat for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to foster the developmental agenda in the constituency.

“All you have to do is to elect me as the Parliamentary Candidate and I promise you that I will make sure NPP keeps the seat to continue what my predecessor started” he pledged.

The New Patriotic Party’s General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua announced that the party will open nominations for the upcoming Parliamentary Elections scheduled for February, 2024.

In an official statement posted on his official Facebook timeline, Mr. Kodua hinted that nominations will open on December 20, 2023, and close on January 4, 2024.

The decision is in line with the party’s election guidelines as enshrined in Article 11 (2) of its constitution.

Mr Bissue while interacting with some delegates in the constituency in his bid to contest the elections said he was optimistic of winning the Essikado-Ketan seat in the 2024 general elections if given the nod.

According to him, as the party is aimed at breaking the 8,it would be better to have a party’s representative as the Member of Parliament.

“We need someone who can best match the Parliamentary Candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) toe-to- toe, he added.
