A Parliamentary Candidate for the opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Effutu Constituency, Mr James Kofi Annan has been arrested this morning at a court in Winneba.
James Kofi Annan, who is also the President of Challenging Heights, was arrested for violently disrupting the arbitration hearing of challenged voter ID cards holders.
The NDC PC could not stand the fact that some of the people he allegedly bused into Effutu were being denied their ID cards and started attacking some of the members of the committee overseeing the process.
But for the timely intervention of some people around the place, he would have caused more damages to the people on the committee.
He has been arrested and its being processed to appear before the Winneba court.
