The speedy progress and development of the Bekwai Constituency have resulted in the unanimous endorsement of the tenure of Hon. Joseph Osei-Owusu as Member of Parliament for the area.
Clearly, every chief desire progress for his people in all facets, as such, anyone who gets the unbridled acceptance and support of Twelve Independent Traditional Councils, Seven Paramount Chiefs as well as five Abrempong within one constituency, without doubt, must have really served dutifully.
In the words of the Adumasa Hene, during Akwasidae; where Nananom commune with the people to explore development pathways for their communities, Nana Amankwaa Kodom II, was full of praise for Hon. Joe Wise for charting a course that has brought and continues to bring novel developmental projects to the constituency.
He was confident that, based on his own testimony, the unprecedented projects and roads executed across the constituency represents the beginning of more and more of these projects to come.
He drew the attention of the gathering to when “both Bekwai, Nampansa, and Asokwa had roads that
were barely motorable, but today, due to the Hon Joe Osei Owusu’s stewardship, that is not the case” and therefore urged all to hand him another term to continue the good works.
“A key factor to development is roads, we all never imagined that Bekwai could have such an extensive distribution of town roads, but now go and see for yourself”. Nana Amankwaa Kodom II pointed out.
Like all the traditional leaders he called upon, Nana Ntow Onyina II, Abenkyimhene did not mince words in sounding a note of support from him and his people to Hon. Joe Wise.
He described as exemplary, the decision of Hon. Osei Wusu to procure “Work and Pay” vehicles for the people of Bekwai and Amansie and also embark on extensive work in the two Senior High Schools in the area.
