Ken Agyapong: I promised to buy a Land Cruiser for ‘rigging informant’

Controversial politician, Ken Agyapong, says he is making frantic efforts to buy a Land Cruiser vehicle to an unnamed gentleman who revealed the rigging plans of the then NDC government to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to the multi-millionaire, he made the promise to the said gentleman in the heat of the 2016 political campaign after he (informant) revealed all the rigging schemes of the NDC to him and the party.

Speaking on Accra based UTV Friday, the Assin Central MP said the revelation enabled the party employ strategies to counter NDC’s rigging schemes, which accounted for the party’s massive and empathic victory in the last election.

He further alleged that sacked Deputy EC boss, Amadu Sulley, had been creating hundreds of phantom polling stations in the three northern regions to increase votes for the then ruling party in previous elections. However, this informant revealed this information and other rigging plots of the NDC “so we were on our guard.”

“Go and ask the vice president [Bawumia] if the massive vote rigging that occurred in 2012 happened again in 2016,” he charged.

Ken Agyapong jokingly said he’s not honoured the promise yet because the NPP government has not given him the opportunity to make much money to enable him buy the Land Cruiser for the “2016 Good Samaritan.”

He, however, gave the assurance that he will definitely buy the Four-wheel vehicle for the said gentleman.
