A former Member of Parliament for La Dadekotopon, Nii Amasah Namoale, has called the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong a coward for signing an undertaking to accept results of the just -ended presidential primary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Prior to the November 4 primary, the leadership of the party made the four aspirants, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Kennedy Agyapong, Akoto Afriyie and Francis Addai Nimo sign an undertaking that they will not resign from the party after the elections.
Meanwhile, at the Super Delegates Conference of the Party held on August 26, 2023, Ken Agyapong threatened to give what he described as ‘showdown’ to President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for allegedly chasing out his polling agent in the flag bearer elections of the party.
After Dr Mahamudu Bawumia won the elections at the Primaries and now the Flagbearer of the NPP, there have been suggestions by some members of the party that Ken Agyapong be Bawumia’s Running Mate for the 2024 elections.

Speaking on the above on Atinka TV‘s morning show, Ghana Nie with Ama Gyenfa Ofosu Darkwa, Nii Amasah Namoale said signing the undertaking meant that Kennedy will accept the results of the election whether he is cheated or not.
“Kennedy Agyapong is a coward. He is a coward and self centered. When they were asked to sign undertakings for whatever the outcome of the election will be, I was expecting Kennedy Agyapong to say that I will not sign this thing, because it stated that whatever the outcome and you had said that if the election is rigged, you will not allow it.”
He said if Kennedy Agyapong was that brave, he wouldn’t have signed the undertaking.
Aside from that, he said Kennedy Agyapong knows that without the NPP, He cannot get those ‘juicy contracts’.
“Immediately he signed, I knew this man was a coward who had selfish interests,” he said.
He also said Ken is a liar because he told Ghanaians that he had employed 7000 people, daring him to bring out taxes or the SNNIT he pays for his workers.
Nii Amasah Namoale also said he knew Kennedy Agyapong would like to be a running mate to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for his own selfish interest and not that he has Ghana at heart.
