Some small and medium-sized enterprises are to receive support from MTN Ghana.
The gesture is to help support individuals in expanding their businesses. In partnership with the Innohub Foundation, the MTN Enterprise Support Program launched in March 2023.
The five-year project aims to support youth, women, and SMEs. Once selected, the beneficiaries will receive training, business development support, technical assistance, and seed funding.
“We are currently conducting interviews for applicants in the Eastern Region. Mrs. Cynthia Mills, economic empowerment adviser at the MTN Ghana Foundation, stated that the project aims to empower SMEs within the business ecosystem and foster an environment of economic growth.
The objective is to empower them with digital transformation, access to financing, collaboration and partnerships, skill development, and market expansion.
She stated that Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) form the foundation of the African economy, possessing the capacity to stimulate innovation, generate employment opportunities, and promote sustainable development.
“Therefore, it is crucial to provide support to these young entrepreneurs. We expect beneficiaries from various regions to receive up to Ghc20,000”
