The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has stated that the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) will be open to international flights from September 1st 2020.
He made the statement after a broad consultation with the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, the Ghana Airports Company Limited, the Ghana Health Service and the Ministry of health.
Giving the 16th update on measures taken against the coronavirus disease in Ghana, President Akufo-Addo said passengers who arrive in the country will undergo a mandatory Covid-19 test on their own account.
Meanwhile, he also said all the borders remain closed until further notice.
