Land guards chop off man’s fingers at Kpone-Kantamanso (photos)

An errand boy of the Chief of Gbetsile in the Kpone-Katamanso Municipality had his fingers chopped off by land guards last weekend when he visited a disputed land in the area.
Dennis Tettey together with other people from the palace was on a mission approved by the Chief to stop individuals who have acquired lands illegally from developing them until the stool regularizes their properties.
However, they were met with brute force by some land guards, who savagely chopped the last fingers of Dennis.

Gbetsile and its surroundings are inundated with countless land guards who are terrorizing innocent residents. Women are being raped, animals being stolen whilst farmers unable to go onto their farms as a result of activities of land guards.
The development which keeps growing may soon get out of hand if the law enforcement agencies do not intervene. as soon as possible
More soon.
