Lawyer Baffour Awuah wins Manhyia South NPP Primary

In a decisive win, Lawyer Nana Adjei Baffour Awuah has secured the Manhyia South Parliamentary primary seat of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) with an impressive 376 votes.

Owusu Afriyie Prempeh, brother of incumbent MP, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, trailed behind with 141 votes, while James Owusu and Akwasi Coker Gyambibi garnered 7 and 2 votes respectively.

The outcome validates Prof. Smart Sarpong’s science and data research, which predicted Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah’s win with at least 70% of the delegates’ votes. This primary election follows the elevation of Dr. Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) as the running mate to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s flagbearer.
