Two drivers transporting people to Walewale in the Northern Region in cargo trucks have been apprehended at Ejisu in the Ashanti Region.
According to reports, the driver of the cargo truck had concealed the people he was transporting at the back of the truck in order to evade the president’s imposition of a 14 day restriction in Accra, Tema and Kumasi.
An eyewitness, Prophet Abdulia Salia, who spoke to Atinka News said the first truck had 35 passengers with 13 pregnant women.
The second truck had over fifty (50) passengers with thirty (30) of them carrying kids and luggage ready to evade the lockdown.
