The Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency, Hon. Dr. Francis-Xavier Sosu, has commissioned an ultra-modern surgical theatre at the Madina Polyclinic – Kekele to improve healthcare services in the area.

The project was commissioned together with the Australian High Commissioner to Ghana, Bérénice Owen-Jones.
The new surgical theatre is expected to increase the facility’s ability to perform surgeries and provide better healthcare for residents of Madina and nearby communities.

Dr. Sosu earlier donated GH₵150,000 and medical equipment to support the construction of the facility. The project also received support from Freedom-Aid Ghana and funding from the Australian Government.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Sosu said improving healthcare infrastructure remains a priority for the constituency.
The Director of the facility, Emmanuel Asante, thanked the MP and the Australian High Commission for their support, noting that the new theatre will help the hospital provide faster and more efficient surgical services.

Several officials and community leaders attended the ceremony, including the Municipal Chief Executive for La-Nkwantanang-Madina Municipality, Alhaji IF Faila, and the Municipal Director of Health, Efua Commeh.
