The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama. has asserted that the Akufo-Addo government has woefully failed in the fight against corruption and that if he (Mahama) becomes president, he will launch a renewed fight against the canker.

“What we have now, obviously never and should never be a yardstick for governance. My goal is to launch a renewed fight against corruption,” the NDC leader asserted.

The former President made the vow during an engagement with the media in Accra on Sunday night.

Mr Mahama lashed out at the Akufo-Addo government over its poor governance record adding, “What we have now, obviously never and should never be a yardstick for governance. My goal is to launch a renewed fight against corruption”
He further warned that all corrupt officials in the Akufo-Addo government will not go unpunished.

“Ghanaians can be assured that drastic steps will be taken to punish the corrupt officials and the accomplices in this present administration. No actor in this NPP corruption enterprise will be spared and we will also take action to repossess what has been unlawfully stolen from the Ghanaian people,” Mr Mahama warned.
