A new Global InfoAnalytics poll shows that 62% of Ghanaians believe the country is heading in the right direction, a sharp improvement from 32% in October 2024.
President John Mahama enjoys 66% approval with 76% rating his government’s performance as good or excellent.
The poll also indicates improving perceptions of corruption, with 56% saying corruption has declined under Mahama. The Ghana Police Service is seen as the most corrupt institution, while the presidency and military rank the least corrupt.
On economic conditions, 51% say their standard of living has improved and 66% are optimistic about the next year. However, concerns remain over illegal mining (galamsey) and power supply (Dumsor), with mixed public opinions on their progress.
For the 2028 NPP flagbearer race, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia leads with 48% support, while Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman is the top choice for the NDC.
The poll highlights growing confidence in the Mahama administration, but challenges in security and energy remain key areas of focus.
