Bernard Mornah, Chairman of the People's National Convention (PNC), has asked President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to put measures in place to curb the no- bed syndrome.
The no-bed syndrome came to the limelight after a 70-year-old man, Prince Anthony Opoku-Acheampong, reportedly died in his car after seven hospitals failed to take care of him over no-bed allegations.
The deceased’s family reportedly travelled for about 46 kilometres in total across the seven hospitals until he eventually died at around 3:30 am at C&J Medicare Hospital.
The Deputy Attorney General, Joseph Kpemka, also mentioned that he had seen and suffered first-hand the effect of the no-bed syndrome.
Delivering PNC’s solidarity message at the annual NPP National Delegates Conference at the Koforidua Technical University in the Eastern Region Saturday, Bernard Mornah tasked Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to ensure that the no bed syndrome becomes a thing of the past.
Mr. Mornah also tasked the Vice President, Dr. Bawumia to halt the free-fall of the cedi.
