A disturbing incident of military brutality has left over six (6) residents of Kukua No.2 hospitalised, sparking widespread outrage and demand for justice.
According to residents, the military personnel descended on the community, unleashing a brutal attack on residents over alleged setting ablaze a yutong between Loagri and Kukua in the West Mamprusi Municipality, resulting in severe injuries.
The victims numbering over six (6) who sustained various degrees of injuries, were rushed to the Walewale Municipal Hospital to seek for medical attention.
The incident has raised concerns about the use of excessive force by the military and the need for a greater oversight.
The incident happened in the wee hours of Friday, February 14, 2025.
Residents of the area are traumatized by the military brutality as Imoro Hafiz, a 36-year-old man passed on at the Walewale Municipal Hospital upon arrival.
Meanwhile, the residents are demanding justice for their brothers who were brutalised and their lost.
