The Chairperson for the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Nana Akosua Frimpomaa Sarpong-Kumankumah has called on government and other stakeholders in charge of the welfare of children to be proactive in discharging their responsibilities.

Nana Akosua Frimpomaa Sarpong-Kumankumah said this during the one-year anniversary of the Missing Children Documentary Series by Atinka TV’s Regina Asamoah.

In the documentary, Regina Asamoah recounts her motivation to investigate the issue of missing children and the gaps identified in Ghana’s child protection system, outlines her challenges, and suggests ways to reduce the spate at which children go missing.

The Missing Children documentary is an investigative documentary series by the reigning GJA Female Best Journalist.

The documentaries focus on finding and reuniting missing children across the country. It also promotes the well-being of children by helping them grow in families, not institutions.

Since May 2021, the ‘Missing Children’ Documentaries have so far reunited over 170 missing children and still counting.
